Overview
XPlus is a browser extension for X (Twitter) with feed and focus tools. This privacy policy explains what data the extension uses and how it is stored.
Data Collection
XPlus does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to us or to third-party servers. The extension:
- Only runs on x.com
- Does not access your X account credentials or personal information
- Does not send your browsing history or activity to external servers
- Stores your settings (including snooze and optional daily time limits) in your browser using extension storage only
- If you enable optional screen-time features, aggregates time on X locally in your browser; that data stays on your device
- Only changes how X pages behave in your browser (including optional redirects)
Permissions
The extension asks for the minimum needed for these features. Install dialogs may use broad wording; below is what each permission is used for in XPlus.
-
Site access (
https://x.com/*andhttps://*.x.com/*) — Injected scripts and changes on X only. -
tabs— Open links in new tabs, find X tabs to apply settings, and message X tabs when needed (for example usage updates). XPlus does not use Chrome’s History API. Browsers may still describe this permission with generic “history”-related wording. -
storage— Save preferences, snooze state, and optional local usage summaries. -
declarativeNetRequest— Network-level redirects on X (for example home, Explore, or Messages to a destination you choose). Rules are limited to X URLs. Install dialogs may mention “blocking” in a general way; XPlus does not modify other sites. -
alarms— Timers for snooze expiry, schedules, and periodic checks (for example screen time and badge updates). -
notifications— Optional alerts when a snooze ends or when optional daily time limits are reached. -
idle— Optional: detect system idle time so screen-time tracking does not count when you are away from the keyboard.
Third-Party Services
XPlus does not use third-party analytics, ads, or tracking services.
